The Raffle Baby Ending

No spoilers here, but I want to answer the most-asked question I receive from readers, which is about the The Raffle Baby ending.
 
While writing the book, I was consciously aware that I wanted an ending that would uplift all readers, regardless of their interpretation of the conclusion. I wrote the final chapter with subtle clues, and hints of both reality and fantasy. I purposely left enough ambiguity so all readers could close the book with a sigh of contentment and the feeling that a promise had been kept.
